Hello to all!

I am very sorry for not posting in a few days…. we have been quite busy!

 Here is a recap:

 I am happy to say that our laundry room is painted, and the border is hung. Next, we are hanging up the shelves, and doing the floor. Yippee!

Yesterday was Jessa’s B’day. She is a very happy little 10 year old! I will try to post some pictures in a few days when things have calmed down a little.

 I was invited to contribute to a new blog just for young ladies:

That is all for now!

A Prayer Request…

Please remember all the families in California during these fires…… several people have lost their homes, and the fires are still blazing. Pray for the families, the firefighters, the medical teams, and the others helping during this crisis. I am also praying for rain and for safety.

With a heavy heart,

Still Raining…..

It is still raining a nice, calm, and very peaceful rain. It is so very relaxing to listen and watch……. what a blessing God has given us with rain!!!

We have been busy in our laundry room the last couple of days….. and I’m happy to say the first coat of primer is on!

I probably should run,
Have a very peaceful day!

Rainy Thursday…

I thought perhaps I would do something different today… I am just posting pictures. We have had a lovely rainy day…….

I hope you have a wonderful peace filled day!

Work On Monday:

Today we are beginning the renovations on our laundry room. We are getting ready for a new washing machine and dryer to be put in there on Monday of next week.

We had the Whirlpool Duet system, thinking it would be good for our large family, especially because it boasted of “conquering sixteen pairs of blue jeans”. Well, let me just say, unless you want to replace your washer in a year, I would not recommend this….. at all. 😦

So, we will be repairing the water damage and preparing for our new, standard washer and dryer next week. I will probably be scarce this week, but I will share a finished picture when we are done! 🙂

Tomorrow is Jacob’s birthday, so hopefully I will be able to post some pics of that as well.

Wishing you a happy and productive week,

Today is….

….my sweet sister Emma’s birthday! My mom took a bunch of pictures and posted them on her blog. Be sure to head over and take a look!

I hope you have had a marvelous day.

Wishing you a peaceful Saturday,

Thoughts on Thursday…

Good afternoon!

Today has been a pretty good day. We have finished school and have gotten some laundry done.

I finished “So Much More” again this morning. If I could recommend one book on virtuous womanhood, this would definetely be the one. It is such a good book…… I have read it over and over again! : ) If you haven’t figured it out by now, I love reading! In my sidebar, I have a section called “I Recommend” and I have listed all my recommended books in one of the subcategories. : ) All that to say, I am adding a new recommended Book/CD:

“Isaiah 53 and Psalm 139” from Thy Word Creations . They are basically scripture passages sung to music. This particular set comes with the CD, and the book with the Bible passages and the sheet music for piano and guitar! These are very calming….. we have been playing them during school and chore time here. I have been playing the sheet music over and over again. It makes for very easy scripture memorization!

You can purchase it here

Psalm 62

“For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David.
My soul finds rest in God alone;
my salvation comes from him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

How long will you assault a man?
Would all of you throw him down—
this leaning wall, this tottering fence?

They fully intend to topple him
from his lofty place;
they take delight in lies.
With their mouths they bless,
but in their hearts they curse.

Find rest, O my soul, in God alone;
my hope comes from him.

He alone is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

My salvation and my honor depend on God [a] ;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.

Trust in him at all times, O people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.

Lowborn men are but a breath,
the highborn are but a lie;
if weighed on a balance, they are nothing;
together they are only a breath.

Do not trust in extortion
or take pride in stolen goods;
though your riches increase,
do not set your heart on them.

One thing God has spoken,
two things have I heard:
that you, O God, are strong,

and that you, O Lord, are loving.
Surely you will reward each person
according to what he has done.”

I am going to help Jessa bake cookies! Have a very blessed day!

Welcome to my blog. I am 19 and the oldest of eleven children. I am learning how to run and care for a home, learning to be more like Jesus, and how to be a godly wife and mother. We love each other, and each day is a new adventure as we seek to glorify the Lord through all we do.
