Hi there!

How was your Thanksgiving? Our was wonderful. We actually celebrated on Sunday, but even so, it was lovely. Here are some pictures:

We have begun to set up our Christmas tree and all the other holiday decorations. Perhaps in a few days, we will show some “finished” pictures! 🙂

Little Jon is enjoying a snooze on Mama’s bed. Doesn’t he look comfy?

We have just been enjoying life lately. We have all been working on “secret projects” for Christmas especially. It is amazing how many little things can be tucked away in a house! Everyone is enjoying doing things for others and preparing for Christmas. Speaking of Christmas projects, there is a discussion going on at Stay-At-Home Daughters . Be sure to drop by and take a peek!!

I probably should run!

Have a wonderful day!

A Favorite Hymn

This is my Father’s world,
and to my listening ears
all nature sings, and round me rings
the music of the spheres.
This is my Father’s world:
I rest me in the thought
of rocks and trees, of skies and seas;
his hand the wonders wrought.

This is my Father’s world,
the birds their carols raise,
the morning light, the lily white,
declare their maker’s praise.
This is my Father’s world:
he shines in all that’s fair;
in the rustling grass I hear him pass;
he speaks to me everywhere.

This is my Father’s world.
O let me ne’er forget
that though the wrong seems oft so strong,
God is the ruler yet.
This is my Father’s world:
why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King; let the heavens ring!
God reigns; let the earth be glad!

 I thought I would share my favorite hymn…… I am taking a few weeks off from blogging, becaues we will be cooking, cleaning, and having a wonderful Thanksiving week.

 I will check in sometime next week with pictures from a recent swap, and perhaps to share some of our favorite holiday traditions!

In the meantime, be sure to visit Stay-At-Home Daughters , the new blog I was invited to contribute to

 My best wishes to all of you during this wonderful time of Thanksgiving!

Checking in…

It has been a wonderful weekend here at our home…. how about yours?My dear Dad, brother and I went to hear a wonderful history lecture last night on the battle of Lexington. The speaker was “Patriot Pastor” Garrett Lear, who was this year’s recipient of the distinguished Founding Fathers Award from the National Center For Constitutional Studies. I believe you can visit for more info. This was so wonderful to listen to…… I am told you can search to see video footage. I would highly encourage you to do so. The small fry is still intrigued with his toes, and who can blame him? He is just too cute!Have a great day!~*~Courtney~*~
