Our Week

What a week! We have been so busy!

My Dad was on a business trip Sunday through Thursday of last week, so the rest of us decided to paint Mom’s room. Then, we made lots of canned pickles, strawberry jam, peach jam, peach butter, green beans, and lots of other canned goodies. Yum!

We are going to a crafting show in August, so most of last week and a good bit of this week will be devoted to making crafts to sell. We have already gotten started, but it will take us a bit of time to finish! 🙂

On Friday, Dad traveled with a friend to Washington D.C. for the “Revolution March”. He had a great time and came back very much excited.

Dad also recently went back to college- he is studying to become a lawyer!

We watched and very much enjoyed the BBC version of “Persuasion” this week- it was a nice break from our VERY busy week!

Our garden is coming right along. We harvested our first okra today and also noticed that there are several melons growing…. we weren’t sure if they would grow or not! : ) I will try to share some pictures in the next day or so.

I also signed up for FaceBook. Do any of you have one?

I need to run. I hope to post more this coming week. We’ll see! ; )

    Hi Courtney!
All those jams and canned goods you made sound great! The pictures of the vegetables are neat, too!
