Blogging Award

A few weeks ago, Jade at “The Chatterbox” passed me the Kindred Spirit award. I am really late in posting this…. sorry about that. πŸ™‚ Thank you Jade!

You can read the guidelines here.

I am passing this to:

My Mom at Lines From The Vine. She is such a sweet example to me of what a Proverbs 31 woman should be. Thank you for being such a wonderful example Mom!

My dear friend, Flibby, at Flibby Pie . Thank you for being such a great friend. You have no idea how much you have encouraged me over the last couple of months.

To ~Simply~, at ~Simply Stork~. She takes the most wonderful pictures and really inspires me to go out and take pictures everyday.

To SavedGirl at Living For Jesus. Although SavedGirl and I have only “met” recently, she is such a sweet young lady who truly lives out her faith in everything she does.

My new penpal, McKenzie, at Pecan Pastures. We both share a lot of common bonds as well. It has been so fun to get to know her and her family. She is so nice and yet another wonderful Christlike example of Godly young womanhood. (Hi McKenzie!)

I can’t forget Kira at The Mission of A Christian! She and I sound very much alike- kindred spirits for sure! πŸ™‚ She is also such a wonderful young lady and she loves Jesus with all her heart. I always very much enjoy reading at her blog.

Thanks for being such an encouragement and “kindred spirit” to me! Ya’ll are awesome!

My Blogroll

I am preparing to clean off and freshen up my blogroll. I would love to link to you! Please leave a comment so that I can add you. I love reading new blogs!

Have a great day,

At The Art Show…..

On Friday afternoon, Joshua and I left to spend the night at my Grandmother’s, to prepare for an art show the very next day.

We left our home, and ran a few errands to pick up some last minute items, then we went for dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant:

These are some really neat metal statues outside the restaurant:

Here is Joshua standing beside one of them:

A view from my seat:

Their iced tea is the best!!

After a yummy faijita and some awesome corn chips with hot cheese sauce

it was time to go back to the interstate to go on to her home.

We passed the Birmingham International Airport:

Finally, we arrived at her house. After unpacking everything, we went to bed.

But, the morning started early, and we were all up by 4:30.

We loaded back up the car:

And went on our way.

We stopped for a breakfast sandwich:

and headed to Odenville.

We arrived just in time to set up!

Here is Joshua setting up our tent:

The tent all set up:

Once we set everything up, we looked around the park that the art show was at. Here are some various pictures:

This is the first time that I have ever seen a cattail!

It was soon time for lunch.

Joshua enjoying some bottled water:

Some of our crafts for the show:

Do you remember the quilts? πŸ™‚

Later on, we just enjoyed the afternoon as people walked through.

Joshua catching a quick read:

At 4:00, it was time to pack up.

Watch this! We can pack it up in 3 easy steps:

See! It was easy! πŸ˜‰

Time to go home.

We took a slightly different route, and saw many cows:

Back on the interstate:

This is what the sky looked like when we were almost home:

It was a fun day. Thanks for joining me!

Our main computer has decided to break. I want to apologize for the lack of posts- I have many composed in my head that will hopefully make it up here over the week.

Thank you to everyone that has been asking about my family- we are doing well. We have been doing a lot of home repair and had been working for weeks to display our crafts at an art show this last week. That will be a post soon too, because I took lots of pictures for a “Day at an art show” posting. Stay tuned! πŸ™‚

I have been passed an award too so I will be sharing about that in the next couple of days as well.

If you have emailed me, I promise that I will get back to you as soon as possible- hopefully, we will have the computer back up very soon. My brother is graciously letting me borrow his. Thanks Josh!

I hope all of you have a wonderful day!

Thank you and a quick post to share….

Thank you to everyone who left a comment- the last couple of days have been much better. Thank you for praying and thinking of our family… we really appreciated that. Thank you and God bless each of you.

My friend Flibby wrote an enlightening post on Christmas music– I wish the radio stations could read it! Stop by and take a peek! She also just recently finished a brand new blog design for their family blog and she does a great job! If you are looking for a fresh look on your blog, stop by “Flibby Pie Graphic Design”.

I think that is everything for today!

Have a great day!

Have you ever had one of those days when everything seems to go wrong? That was my day today.

It has just been a really rough day.

However, I have a heavenly friend who knows all. He knows when I am having a down day, and knows when I need a pick-me-up. I am so very blessed to know Him. If you do not know Jesus, please leave me a comment. I would love to introduce you to my precious Lord and Savior.

Many blessings on this beautiful Sunday,

Neat Picture

EDITED TO ADD: I am so sorry everyone! I should have mentioned that it is a cheese grater. Enjoy your Saturday! πŸ™‚

Welcome to my blog. I am 19 and the oldest of eleven children. I am learning how to run and care for a home, learning to be more like Jesus, and how to be a godly wife and mother. We love each other, and each day is a new adventure as we seek to glorify the Lord through all we do.
