It’s up!

I finally finished- it takes a long time to put together a customized look for WordPress. πŸ™‚

Anybody else re-designing your blog for Christmas? I would love to see your site! Drop me a comment with your link so I can “drop by”.

Happy Holidays!

It looks great Courtney! you’re gonna have to help me with mine because a want to make it look “Cristmasy” but I have no clue how to do CSS stuff lol

I think it’s more of the images Courtney is changing, not the CSS, Jade!
The easiest way to customize your theme on WordPress.com is to find a theme that mostly matches the look you want, and change the images around. Like changing the header image, for instance. πŸ˜‰

I changed the header image on my blog to try to give it a more wintery look. πŸ™‚ I think my rooster matches in nicely, LOL.

That is exactly what I did Lacy! I find a template that is close to what I am wanting, make a custom header, and then make buttons to match it. πŸ™‚ I don’t want to pay to edit my source code, so this just seems like the logical way to do it LOL!

Hope y’all are having a great day!

That’s what I was mostly doing when I hosted my blog on WordPress.com. Changing the header image really helps the look of your blog sometimes! πŸ™‚

Having to pay on WordPress.com to edit your CSS was really annoying me, LOL. After Levi helped me move my blog over to our website, I am now enjoying the ability to edit my own templates and CSS!

We’re having a great day, even though it is pretty cold outside! Have you all gotten over the flu yet?

    Hi Courtney,

I like your Christmas theme! I got your e-mail and am looking forward to your letter! I hope to call you soon! Don’t worry, I won’t call at 3AM! :>)

    Lacy,
I wish I could use WordPress.org, but our server doesn’t support it. 😦 I really do love the wordpress interface, but I agree, it is annoying to have to pay for the custom CSS. I just do what I can with images. πŸ™‚

McKenzie, Thank you! πŸ™‚ I can’t wait to hear from you- our last conversation was wonderful! I will try and get your letter in the mail tomorrow- it didn’t make it there today. 😦 Sorry about that….. πŸ™‚

    Have a wonderful night y’all!

What do you mean exactly, your server doesn’t support it? Does your server allow you to have MySQL Databases?

We don’t have the permissions to be able to change the settings to allow the MySql and PHP files to run properly. 😦

I love it! I like the snow flurries and the cute gingerbread men. But it is all very pretty and nicely done!

    Merry Christmas!
