UPDATE:I will be staying with WP. I have created an account that I will allow readership access to. I will send anyone who wants to continue reading the info needed to log in. Thank you for all the suggestions! The deadline to email your info is April 29th. Blessings!

Yesterday, we had some really bad storms move through our area. Tornado after tornado was announced. Reports of damage, injuries and the like were reported. We could see funnel clouds forming from our windows. They would twist down, and then break back up into the sky as the storm began to stabilize. It was a bit of a scary time for us. I *do not* like tornados at all.

The same holds true for the storms of life. It seems as if there are times when nothing but bad things are happening. Sometimes however, there are times when blessings seem to endless, it is if someone is pouring a bucket out that will never go empty.

A Time for Everything
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

We are entering a new season of life. My Daddy is running for public office. We are enjoying helping him prepare and begin his campaign. I will be posting more about this very soon.

I will be locking down my blog on the 1st of May. We want to be able to protect our private family information since we will be in the public eye.

I’m not sure if I will stay here on WP or not, because the only option that I can find for privacy is to only allow WP users that I choose to view it. I know that I have several readers who are not on WP that I would like to allow readership to.

If you would like to be able to continue to read my blog, would you email me and let me know? I will add you to a readership list of people allowed to read.

Also, do any of you know of another blogging platform (other than Blogger, which I am trying to avoid) that might work for the privacy settings I need?

Blessings and peace in Christ!

    Dear Courtney,

I e-mailed you about keeping my readership. That must have been scary in that storm. I have been in bad storms before but I have never actually seen funnel clouds coming down. I remember one time at night when there were horrible storms in our area and there was a tornado heading right for our area. By the grace of God it dissipated before it reached us. It was really scary and there were like 100 flashes of lightning every ten seconds. I am glad that you stayed safe.

I don’t really know anything about a good website. I use HSB but you would face the same issue there. You can block certain people but you cannot just allow certain people. I know what you mean about blogger. I was considering starting a blogger blog but when I read the terms and conditions about “discrimination” I said forget it. I don’t know much about it but you could possibly rent or buy internet space and create your own page or site. That might give you the freedom to restrict who comes to your blog.

If you restricted it to WP users, I might still be able to read your blog. My brother had a WP blog a long time ago and I could probably sign into his account (if he remembers his password) and read it.

Well, this is interesting. πŸ™‚ I will be praying for your father and the whole family.

Locking down your blog? I will have to ask momma about emailing you. πŸ™‚ I don’t know of any other blog community besides wordpress you could go to. I would NOT recommend going to HSB. I have not been on blogger, but from what my friends who have been on blogger, I don’t like the sound of it. πŸ™‚ I love using wordpress. I am sticking with it.

Love and prayers to you and yours, Miss Courtney.

I will add y’all to the “to email” list. πŸ™‚

I have created an account for everyone to use (I really hope everyone doesn’t mind!) who doesn’t have WP user information.

For everyone that does, I will send them a readership invite. πŸ™‚

We are all glad that we stayed safe too. Living in a mobile home during a really bad storm is NEVER fun!

Thank you for all the prayers- we’re going to need it! We are really excited, but at the same time, a bit nervous too. I’m sure y’all understand….. πŸ™‚

    Blessings to you both!

I’m sorry about all the storms, I don’t think I’d like tornados very much either!

I don’t really know you, so I highly doubt you’ll want to add me to your private blogging list, but I can see why you’re making it private. I’d probably do that same thing if I was anticipating a lot of media attention headed my way.

Good luck to your family, especially your father. πŸ™‚
