{The End}

This marks the last post that will be posted here on One of the Bunch. I have blogged here for about six years. It seems strange to be saying “goodbye”, but I believe it is time to move on to something new.

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

I am moving on into a new chapter of my life, and with that, I would like a fresh start here in the blog-o-sphere.

My new blog will be here, at …little blots of ink…

Please kindly update your links. I look forward to seeing you there! =]

Resurrection Sunday

Jesus Christ died for me.

He made a sacrifice. He was crucified on a cross. He took on the weight of our sins, taking our punishment for us that we might live with Him forever in eternity.

Each time I think about the sacrifice that our LORD made for us, it brings tears to my eyes. The LORD took a punishment for me. A punishment that I deserve. I deserve to die for the sins that I have committed against my Saviour. The LORD saw fit to take my punishment and bear it for me that I might live forever with Him in eternity. Death has no sting. The LORD has victory over death. Praise the LORD for His goodness, His mercy, and His grace-  too precious to simply be cast aside.

Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 6:8-11

That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.” — Phillipians 3:10-12

The story doesn’t end with the crucifixion. On the third day, after being placed in a tomb, Jesus Christ rose from the dead. He is a mighty savior!

Today, on Resurrection Sunday, we take the time to observe Christ’s sacrifice for us. We shouldn’t just observe the blessing of this gift today, but on every single day. May we always remember and be grateful for God’s mercy and grace.

I posted the following hymn, ‘Christ the Lord has Risen Today’ on my FB page this morning and wanted to post it here as well.

Christ the Lord has Risen Today by Charles Wesley

“Christ, the Lord, is risen today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth, reply, Alleluia!

Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Lo! the Sun’s eclipse is over, Alleluia!
Lo! He sets in blood no more, Alleluia!

Vain the stone, the watch, the seal, Alleluia!
Christ hath burst the gates of hell, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids His rise, Alleluia!
Christ hath opened paradise, Alleluia!

Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once He died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!

Soar we now where Christ hath led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

Hail, the Lord of earth and heaven, Alleluia!
Praise to Thee by both be given, Alleluia!
Thee we greet triumphant now, Alleluia!
Hail, the resurrection day, Alleluia!

King of glory, Soul of bliss, Alleluia!
Everlasting life is this, Alleluia!
Thee to know, Thy power to prove, Alleluia!
Thus to sing and thus to love, Alleluia!

Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluia!
Unto Christ, our heavenly King, Alleluia!
Who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia!
Sinners to redeem and save. Alleluia!

But the pains that He endured, Alleluia!
Our salvation have procured, Alleluia!
Now above the sky He’s King, Alleluia!
Where the angels ever sing. Alleluia!

Jesus Christ is risen today, Alleluia!
Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
Who did once upon the cross, Alleluia!
Suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluia! ”

He is Risen! He is Risen INDEED!

With love,

Welcome to my blog. I am 19 and the oldest of eleven children. I am learning how to run and care for a home, learning to be more like Jesus, and how to be a godly wife and mother. We love each other, and each day is a new adventure as we seek to glorify the Lord through all we do.
